Leader John Flocks [email protected] This Activity is a collaboration between the members sharing their ideas and experiences, allowing dogs to exist in their natural pack behavior (up to a limit). Members and the Leader will share their positive and negative experiences for the betterment of the pack. We will meet on private properties. Everyone is ultimately responsible for their own dog’s behavior. If two dogs fight, the two owners will resolve it. Others are not responsible for the behavior of dogs that they do not own. Everyone will bring their own refreshments and treats, and possibly a chair. We all will clean up after our own dogs, or be courteously reminded. Early events will have limited attendance of dogs who have previous experience in a pack, so that a core pack is in place before the uninitiated can join. Growth will be controlled to not become overwhelmed. When humans are calm, dogs are happy. Dogs who show aggression will be leashed and observe until they are comfortable, or leave the pack. Even a nice dog can get defensive if they have never been part of a pack. Each owner will determine when or if to unleash. Some dogs are initially shy, and most eventually join in the pack. On private property we will define the play area boundaries, with markers like stakes or string. Dogs are territorial and good at understanding boundaries if they clearly exist. Rules may be posted. Pack size may have to be limited, even after our playful environment and rules are established Contact the leader directly for more information and to join in the fun. |
