ENN Mission Statement - Provide opportunities for members to meet others through social events and activity groups. ENN is open to all residents of the Evergreen area regardless of length of residency.
UPCOMING EVENTS
ENN will host our September Happy Hour on September 17th, from 4 - 6 PM at Revival Brewery, located at 27845 Highway 74, near downtown Evergreen.
There is free parking across the street, and additional free parking past Murphy's Restaurant. The parking does not require any code or scans; these areas are free parking. The parking across from Revival Brewery is actually reserved for Brewery patrons, so parking should not be an issue. The Brewery has room for us either outdoors, or, if the weather does not cooperate, indoors. Because of space limitations, we need to give them an estimated number of attendees, so if you would like to attend, please RSVP to [email protected] before Tuesday, September 10th. So, if you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we can ensure we reserve an adequate space for our Happy Hour. As always, you will be able to order off the menu, and the times Carol and I have dined there, the food has been very good. Additionally,Revival Brewery offers Happy Hour prices for drinks. Our Happy Hours are always an incredible opportunity to meet new members and get together with our old friends. It is a chance to get together for drinks, food, and a lot of fun. At our August Happy Hour we had 39 attendees, with 2 new couples. And we then had a new couple join at the Happy Hour! So come join us for a wonderful evening. The event will include a free pancake breakfast, educational booths, touch-a-truck, Blood Drive (with Vitalant), firefighter skills demonstrations, and opportunities to learn both hands-only CPR and Stop-the-Bleed. I am so happy to announce that our Firewood Drive to benefit EChO clients that need wood to heat their homes in the cold weather season was a huge success!
Last week we moved and stacked wood and ended with a sack lunch assembled by Jan Cryns (Thank you, Jan!). Today, we delivered about 10 cords of wood to the EChO wood lot. Both workdays were made possible through generous donations, and an incredible team of 22 volunteers that worked hard and gave of their time and resources. I want to thank those who volunteered and made this project happen: Bob Lally, Mike Ferrari, Jan Cryns, Mike Wells, Monte Poague, Vard and Fran Nelson, Mike Foley, Lisa Everett, Harry Evarts, Dan and Candy Stark, Paul and Laura Santana, Roger Howell, Susan Hall, Rob and Michelle Wilson, Karen Davis, John Illich, and Wes Brooks. A special thank you to our firewood donors: Rob Wilson, Wes Brooks, Donn Fishbein, Mary Nelson and Daniel Hays. Today, we ended our morning of work at the home of Harriet Sear with pizza donated by SaBelle in Kittredge and it was delicious! (Fran, thank you for arranging this.) It was so great to see how this huge project came together through teamwork, and I believe that everyone had fun and enjoyed participating. Carol Goss |
