Leaders: Wes and Kate Brooks [email protected] In addition to sharing our Evergreen lives, a number of ENN members will have spent significant time traveling or living overseas. Often such experience has made an impact on us that we enjoy sharing with others with similar exposure. Therefore, the purpose of “International ENN” is to create a vehicle within ENN to help those like us find each other and learn from and enjoy each other through monthly or bi-monthly social gatherings. Since regions are often best represented by their food and beverage, group members will rotate hosting an evening that will feature dishes from their travels to a specific region or country. To spread the fun and burden of preparation, hosts and guests will be asked to bring examples of food and/ or drink from the subject region. If successful, discussion about the region will easily follow to help create rich exchanges. It is the experience of ENN that such groups function well with up to about a dozen members or member couples. To establish International ENN, we are seeking interest from about a dozen of us, and if the numbers exceed this start-up quota, we can easily create a second or more chapters. The initial organizers of International ENN are Wes & Kate Brooks who spent much of their professional lives in and around Asia and Australasia. They retired to Evergreen in 2017, with two of their three children making their own careers in Denver. If interested, please email us and we will get in touch with you. |
