Leaders Bob Ogden Tony Oliver Activities@EvergreenNewcomers.com The charter of this group is to provide four wheeling opportunities on trails in the “moderate-to-difficult” range. We will avoid scheduling “easy” trails except when needed to connect with more advanced trails. This especially applies to our overnight trips to places such as Moab. The local “moderate” trails that we schedule will usually be suitable for adventurous beginners and stock SUVs, so people in that category are welcome to participate. This is a family activity, with spectacular scenery, great picnic lunches, photo-ops and other stops along the way. Our season normally runs May-October when we hope to avoid most snow complications. Typically we’ll have two outings per month, a combination of nearby day trips interspersed with a couple of long-weekend, out-of-town adventures. For day trips we’ll depart at 9:15 AM (+/-) depending on destination and try to return by mid-to-late afternoon. The overnighters usually span a four-day weekend. Trip registration and other communications are by email to group members. |
