▒ MEMBERSHIP DUES REMINDER ▒
In
order for members to participate in Evergreen Newcomers activities, annual dues
for
2007-2008
must be paid by August 31. Dues are $30
for each family or individual and
include
a mail subscription for the monthly newsletter.
In a change of policy approved by
the
Board, all members will receive a hard copy of the newsletter each month. Dues
may
be
paid at the Kickoff Coffee or by mail to: Evergreen Newcomers Club,
membership
form.

A beautiful summer is nearing its end and the crisp excitement of fall is just around the corner, which means the beginning of another great year of Evergreen Newcomers activities and events is here! I’m especially excited by the wonderful people I’ll be serving with on the board this year, both a dedicated group of “returnees” and several new members whose fresh perspectives will invigorate us all. We’re already working hard to make this a good year for you, but we can best serve you when we hear from you -- your ideas for new activities or programs, your feedback on current activities and programs, or any other suggestions. So feel free to e-mail or call any board member with your thoughts. We also rely on you for leadership of the many groups Newcomers sponsors. Many thanks to you who have agreed to serve in that capacity this year. Your commitment is the backbone of Newcomers! We do, however, still need leaders for Tennis, International, the Non-Fiction Book Group and Friday Hiking. If you have enjoyed any of these groups and would consider filling one of these positions, please contact either Sara Lang or Anna Marie Nelson. If any group remains leaderless as of September 10th, it will be discontinued. And finally, a new addition to the monthly Newsletter: To help you get to know some of our newest members, the Newsletter will frequently spotlight new members in lieu of the monthly President’s Notes.
