Holiday Tea Friday, December 1st 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Evergreen Newcomers
is pleased to announce it will be having a Holiday Tea at the elegant Hiwan
Golf Club in Evergreen. Come enjoy a
variety of teas accompanied by a luxurious selection of savory tea
sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream, petit fours, filo cups, mini puffs,
chocolate dipped strawberries, Madeleines with lemon curd, and more. Also, Bruce Vincent, fellow Newcomers member,
will entertain us with holiday piano music.
The cost for the tea is $20 per member and $24 per guest. So get into the holiday spirit and come
join us for this special occasion! Reservation

Teyva, that endearing character in Fiddler On The Roof, evokes many
chuckles with his “on the one hand…, but on the other hand…” monologues with
God. Gratitude is like that as
well. We can be grateful for how good
things are. On the other hand, things
could be better, but on the other hand, things could be worse. The Law of Attraction states we attract
that which we live. We all know
individuals who respond to every situation with a sense of optimism or
gratitude. I tend to want to hang
around those kinds of people. Their outlook on life is
contagious. We just welcomed a new grandson into the
family. It was such a pleasure to be
able to share that good news with so many of my “Newcomer” family. Equally gratifying was the response from
so many of you wishing to share our joy.
Thank you. It’s a great
organization we have. We provide a
setting whereby others can find a new circle of friends as they move into
this community. And that circle
continues to grow and change as our community grows and changes. Each year, we find new ways to reach out
to those who need a friendly face or a helping hand. Thank you to each of you who reach out in

every Friday year-round to enjoy some of Colorado’s finest day hikes. We generally select trails approximately 5
or 6 miles long, but invite various outdoor skill levels to participate. In recent weeks, we visited Jim Creek and
